Clair grew up in a suburb of Cape Town, in a house that was frequently getting refreshed, been exposed early on to the synergy between designers, architects and contractors, and the essential role of a good designer. Clair was fascinated by blueprints (yes, they were blue!) and had an innate curiosity about design.

Nevertheless, pursued a career in Chemistry. After graduating with honors from University of Cape Town with a BA in Chemistry . Which revealed that Clair passions and aptitudes were elsewhere. Clair traded Science for art school where Clair felt at home. Clair realized that interior design was the perfect fit because it requires a pragmatic sensibility to make a space ‘work’ as well as a robust imagination to create beauty.
After earning another BA in Interior Architecture and Design.

Over the years, interior design has provided a foray into other creative endeavors: namely, event planning and apparel design, broadening and deepening more business acumen.  But all roads led back to the origin and the love of helping people create their most cherished spaces.
